When Aurora ended her secret romance wtih her F1 racing lover she thought she would never see him again. Now three years later they meet again when his sister, her BFF is getting married. They rekindle the red hot romance once more. But will the same demons of the past keep them apart again? This is one story that I will reread again. I loved how Clare Connelly was able to weave the story line just so that I was hooked.

This book is a true gift to school administrators, teachers, and for those of us who have the privilege and honor to be a part of a Christian school, Building Biblical Worldview: The Three Loves should be a staple in our library. For any Christian who values the process of education Joe gives practical but important reminders as to why teaching from a Biblical Worldview is important. The Three Loves is an important concept that allows the reader to remember the importance of loving God, loving our students, and loving what we do working daily serving the Lord. From a broad sense it speaks to the importance of the Calling we live out, while passionately dedicating our lives to others, and to the Lord. I utilized the book among faculty for devotions and key reminders. Thanks Joe, I look forward to reading more of your work.

This book is a must for all Christian educators!

I like the Bible-centered approach to teaching. I was especially challenged by the thought that all three loves are required; two of three just won't cut it!

As a Christian teacher who teaches maths in a Christian school I found this message very helpful to fulfill our mission of glorifying Christ through our teaching, impact our students with something of eternal value and, at the same time, achieve academic excellence.

I strongly recommend this book!

A well layed out book

This book has many tables and lists of all the statistics in the Fallout Tactics universe. It also gives information on comabat, charactors (and charactor building), missions, enemies, perks, skills, MULTIPLAYER, and tips on how to win your way to victory. It was easy to understand, the good thing was that it didn't tell exactly what to do. This left the game open, not a complete walkthrough (you know, do this, do that... no fun!). The book really helps make the Fallout expirience ten times better. Buy this book and make the most out of your game.

Passable as a strategy guide...

As a kid I always enjoyed reading the strategy guides to my favorite console games, like the Final Fantasy series. Usually these strategy guides had all the information on the actual gameplay/items/locations, plus added touches like 'bonus features' or 'secrets' and even tidbits of information about the game that owners might find interesting. The pages were in color and you could almost read the guides like a good magazine or even a book.

Not so with this guide. As soon as I got this guide in the mail, I realized I would be disappointed. The quality of the printing is low; small pages, black & white print on normal computer printer paper. There are no pictures of items & the descriptions of them are extremely brief and not really useful. The book covers the missions themselves in a brief fashion (a couple pages per mission) with a general outline of the objectives & strategies, with a couple fuzzy screenshots mixed in.

Nowhere is there specific vendor information, ANY information on random encounters or special encounters (which the book bluntly lies about on the back cover by claiming it does have this information), or a tips/tricks section -- of which there are plenty to discover in Fallout Tactics.

All in all this is a mediocre book and you really shouldn't buy this unless you are some kind of avid 'Fallout' merchandise collector. You are better off going online to look at a F.A.Q. or Walkthrough on the game; this book is cheaply made and only covers the most basic essentials of playing through the game.

I sincerely hope no one would be crazy enough to buy the strategy guide at four times the price of the game. It is a good game, but you can figure out most of the stuff that is in the guide for yourself.

Vivek Ahuja is the author of several historical articles on the Indo-China border and is contributor to Force Magazine in India. For fans of military fiction, this book is an eye-opener. Most books either cover wars from a geopolitical level or at an in depth level at the denomination of a platoon. Where Ahuja differentiates himself is in being able to scope in to action at grassroots level (you can only wonder at the level of research done in his description of unit level tactics and weapon systems) to creating a frame for the reader to understand the macro level context.

Definitely a worthy read for people who have an in-depth interest in S.Asia & China.

A great book

I bought this book a couple of weeks back. Did not put it down until I finished it. It took me 4 days to complete the book.
For those of you who haven't read it yet, this book is about a plausible future war scenario between Bharat and China with pakistan thrown in a bit. It has a very detailed storyline that focuses a lot on land battle between Bharat's Army and the PLA/PLAAF. The author has an amazing knowledge of himalayan region that he uses to the hilt.
Here are the negative: firstly, there were few spelling mistakes. Secondly, the scenario loses an aspect of realism because the author did not focus on naval warfare to the extent that he dealt with the land warfare/ air warfare. Also, in some of the battles, Bharat's side seem to have access to warfare systems like the Pinaka batteries, but for whatever reason the author doesn't provide the same relief to the PLA/PLAAF.

But, overall I loved it. Authors from Bharat are certainly coming of age...

Excellent futuristic but grounded millitary fiction of an Indo-Chinese conflict

Fans of millitary fiction, tired of cold war like scenarios or small scale engagements can now rejoice. Here is a very realistic millitary scenario depicting a potential Indo-Chinese conflict and how it may actually end up. The surprise is in how it may end up and why 1962 was a flash in pan when the Indian leadership failed its people.

Imagine a brutal tank battle in Ladakh at 16,000 ft (the highest mountain on mainland US is @20,000 ft) or a battle in the passes of Bhutan or a vicious air battle where the Mig 29s and Su 30 are pitted against S-27s and J-8s. This novel covers it vividly. A cat and mouse game to punch holes in the S-300 radar defence, yes that is covered to. Use of transport aircrafts, refuellers, AWACS, cruise missiles and both tactical and strategic missiles are also covered. This is present technologies which the Asian giants currently possess. An operational supersonic cruise missile or near operational ALCM is pitted against a sophisticated radar coverage.

In this novel, the auther Vivek weaves a compelling story around the tools of war and how humans use it. The novel is fast paced and sucks you into reading further, due to a very good story built around actual data points. It has its elements of humour as well, sample this:

" ... What cause do we have for mobilizing these Divisions?" the PM said.

Chakri shared a look at Yadav in silence and then sighed where he sat in silence.

"Cause? How about defending our borders? Does that sound like a good enough cause, you idiot?"

Yadav said calmly:

"Defending our borders, sir. That's a just enough cause, isn't it?"

Brilliant! For the followers in news about the recent happenings in India, where the pacifist PM is being pilloried for beheadings of Indian soldiers at the border, the above hits home.

It appears that this novel has been in making for a while so all the more credit to the author for his perserverance and making it thorugh his first publication. It does not appear that this is his first fiction.

What could have been better? The prologue. The novel jumps directly into the conflict and keeps our attention, however a build up on the current Tibetan occupation, the ongoing tibetan sacrfices, the Indo-Chinese conflict rooted in Mao's foolhardiness and Kissinger's acquiescence etc should have been added for the lay person. Further, an epilogue giving the topography of the McMohan line and some details with photos of the arms like the Brahmos supersonic cruise missile and the advanced Su 30 MKI and Su 27 could have been added.

Again for a novel that lays down the use of arms and how they fare when pitted against each other, depicting a realistic scenario for a lay person this achieves a lot. A very complex and advanced mathematical modelling over a table top war fare exercise is deftly hidden by the author here. It does steer clear of international politics and that is a good thing.

Overall, every person/journalist interested in millitary history and modern conflicts in the Indian subcontinent should read this. This novel ensures why simple juxtapositions like Pakistani missiles are tall fair and hence more advanced than short and stubby Indian missiles are dumb. Or why the mere possession in numbers of Su 27s by the Chinese will make them masters of the aerospace is a far fetched thought.

Steve Anson, CISSP, EnCE, is the cofounder of Forward Discovery. He has previously served as a police officer, FBI High Tech Crimes Task Force agent, Special Agent with the U.S. DoD, and an instructor with the U.S. State Department Antiterrorism Assistance Program (ATA). He has trained hundreds of law enforcement officers around the world in techniques of digital forensics and investigation. Steve Bunting, EnCE, CCFT, has over 35 years of experience in law enforcement, and his background in computer forensics is extensive. He has conducted computer forensic examinations for numerous local, state, and federal agencies on a variety of cases, as well as testified in court as a computer forensics expert. He has taught computer forensics courses for Guidance Software and is currently a Senior Forensic Consultant with Forward Discovery. Ryan Johnson, DFCP, CFCE, EnCE, SCERS, is a Senior Forensic Consultant with Forward Discovery. He was a digital forensics examiner for the Durham, NC, police and a Media Exploitation Analyst with the U.S. Army. He is an instructor and developer with the ATA. Scott Pearson has trained law enforcement entities, military personnel, and network/system administrators in more than 20 countries for the ATA. Great overview of incident response forensics

Mastering Windows Network Forensics and Investigations fills an interesting niche not well addressed in the pantheon of digital forensics resources. The material is well suited for beginning and intermediate forensic examiners looking to better understand network artifacts and go beyond single-system forensics. I highly recommend it for system administrators looking for a different perspective on network security or those interested in designing networks to be forensics-friendly. That said, the topics covered do not fit within the classical definition of network forensics. A more apt title might be Mastering Incident Response Forensics and Investigations.

This is the first book I have read in the Sybex Mastering series, and I was impressed with the writing, research, and editing. The authors blended dense material with relevant examples and insightful and engaging text boxes.

Some highlights:

- The event log coverage was excellent; a difficult and prosaic topic was explained in simple terms and with just the right amount of depth. One of my favorite sections included the recovery of event log fragments from free space.

- The chapters on the Windows registry were excellent and had space for rarely talked about advanced concepts like volatile hives, registry redirection and reflection, and registry virtualization.

- The investigative uses of XP Restore Points and Windows 7 Shadow Volumes tied in nicely with other topics.

- The new chapter on virtualization and cloud forensics is a good addition. Live response and data acquisition in virtualized environments like VMWare ESX was covered, and an intelligent discussion on how to prepare for collecting cloud data was started.

In this second edition (released in June 2012), it is obvious the authors took pains to include the most current information available. Windows 7, Server 2008R2, and their associated artifacts are discussed extensively. Guidance Software's EnCase v7 and Volatility 2.0 are both introduced. There are even references to computer crime cases occurring in 2012.

Don't let the name fool you. This one has much more to offer than the name might imply.

One of my new favorite forensic books. I strongly recommend this book for Windows forensics in general, not just for networks. Great explanations of various Windows artifacts, file systems, and much more. The network related topics are covered equally as well. The book is very well written in a way that is both understandable and engaging. This book can work for experts and those starting out as well. An excellent addition to anyone's forensic library.

This is an amazing book. It is well written and straight to the point. It covers every area of the windows operating system that you should expect to find evidence and paint a picture of what the bad guys did during a breach (or whatever else you are investigating). I would recommend this book 10 times over. There are plenty of screenshots and tutorials to review and the websites has data to practice on.

J. Courtney Sullivan is the New York Times bestselling author of the novels Commencement, Maine and The Engagements. A touching tale superbly written

I thoroughly enjoyed The Engagements, which is an appealing book for those who prize relationship over plot. As she proved in her novel "Maine", J. Courtney Sullivan is a fine writer of women's fiction.

We initially are introduced to the true life advertising executive, Mary Francis Gerety who penned the slogan "A Diamond is Forever". The year is 1947and Mary Francis is 32 years old and trying to make a name for herself in the world of advertising. She has a job as a copywriter at the most powerful Ayer advertising agency, and working on the De Beers Diamond campaign. In 1947, women were hired only to provide a feminine point of view, however; Mary Francis is married to her job and wants to further her career.

In 1972, Evelyn has a wonderful marriage to her second husband. She also takes great pleasure in her daughter-in-law and her two grandchildren, however, her self-centered son is coming to lunch and that means trouble.

In 1987, James is trying to make ends meet as a paramedic. He has married his childhood sweetheart and they have a young son. Lately James has become concerned that, just like her parents, perhaps Sheila wishes she had married one of her more successful suitors.

In 2003, Delphine is exacting revenge on her young famous lover. She has left her business, husband and country for this egotistical man and has just found out he has been cheating on her.

In 2012, Kate is getting ready to attend her gay cousin's wedding. She has a wonderful partner and they have a daughter, but Kate has absolutely no interest in making the relationship legal. While she is happy that her cousin will finally be allowed to marry, she cannot believe how out of control their big day has gotten. When left to pick up their wedding rings, her mind is elsewhere.

How the author weaves these separate stories together into a compelling novel is flawless. While the book alternates between the five different characters and time periods, it is not hard to keep up with. All the separate stories are artfully written with very human and believable characters. The novel is also filled with interesting information about diamonds and the world of advertising. The end is touching and leaves one with the thought, not only is a diamond forever, but what a story a diamond might be able to tell.

Engaging our interest.

The alternating stories through the decades were very believable and engaging (not to make a pun) and the reality of a relationship versus the romanticized version in marketing of the engagement ring. The icing on the cake is how one ring ties all the stories together. I like how we don't know much about that until close to the end of the book.

This Spy Games Trilogy book gives me chill. I enjoyed it so much. I enjoy every pages I read and this makes me really eager to scroll and scroll into the next pages just to know what will happen next. Sandy, which is an special agent has a great role on this story. And as the story goes on, it became more and more exciting. Perfect for your free time. The plot was really extraordinary.

This book has suspense, drama, passion all rolled into one. This is an interesting take on the traditional spy/reveal-government-secret drama we are typically faced with. It kept me interested the whole way through but it definitely is a more mature read.

It’s my first time reading a Lesbian novel and I was a little skeptical at first but now I'm into it. Kelly did a great job with the characters and the plot. I definitely will be checking out more books by her! I had fun reading it!
