Good Ideas

This book gives plenty of ideas of how to use picture books when teaching the literacy elements. I like this book because I read to my 4th graders and this gives me ideas of which books would help with the lesson.

Love it for my Reading Class

I teach middle school resource room reading, and this book has some great suggestions for teaching literary elements. I got the recommended books from the library (mostly) and the class really enjoyed them. I recommend this book to supplement reading curriculum.

Fun and effective!

This book has great ideas for teaching the literary elements. Each lesson contains more than one annotated choice for lessons from point of view to satire. As always though, coming up with the actual books is sometimes a challenge!
