About the Author
Cassie Reilly-Boccia was a four-year starter on the Crimson Tide softball team, leading the team to several titles, including a National Championship in 2012. She was inducted to the New York State Softball Hall of Fame as a member of the class of 2015. She's a certified strength and conditioning specialist as well as a USA Weightlifting Sports Performance coach. She's also the director of research and development and intern curriculum at Athletes Warehouse in Pleasantville, New York.

Like many softball phenatics - I am always thinking about ...

I coach at the 12U Travel Level. I started reading this book and it suddenly became the most important thing I had to do today. Like many softball phenatics - I am always thinking about my team and what I can do to make the game better for the players. "Finished It" is a book that gives us a great insite into what it feels like to win at the highest level and how they went about paying everything up front to collect their reward later. It is brilliantly written and filled with passion, honesty and an overwhelming sense to give something back to the game. There are 16 chapters. I believe in this book so much that as I was reading it - I formed one question for each chapter that I thought would help turn our TEAM into a FAMILY. This book is going to be required reading for all of our players before they attend our winter workouts and everybody will have to answer those 16 questions. Thank you Cassie for writing an incredible book and for developing our players as people and athletes. I can not recommend this book any higher. I couldn't put it down.

A must-read for every softball coach, parent, and player!

This book should is a must-read for every softball coach, parent, and player. AND, it's a should-read for everyone else who does not fit into that category. The book extends beyond the sport of softball and beyond the Crimson Tide. It's about teamwork.

The comfortable cadence of each chapter begins with background on the team, and ends with Cassie gradually re-living the day when Alabama won the national championship. It's hard to put down!

One of the main points that sticks out is the importance of each role on a team. Cassie connects many roles to the success of her team. She explains how the championship could not have been won without the fans, the video producer, trainers, coaches, and each athlete, including the Wolfpack sitting on the bench. Every person matters and can find a way to make a difference. This idea relates on and off the field.

I credit Cassie with instilling a passion for the game in my daughter, who was fortunate to have taken lessons with Cassie throughout her stay in Iowa. Cassie is an incredible person, a talented writer, and a heck of a softball player!

"Finished It" by Cassie Reilly-Boccia is excellent read for any fastpitch player, coach or parent (or anyone involved in a team sport or endeavor for that matter). It provides some real insight into the philosophy behind one of the most successful D-1 college softball programs and what it means to be a "team" player in every sense of the word. The book is not just about softball but it has many life lessons which transcend sport and can be applied to all aspects of life. It is well written highly entertaining read. A must read for all fastpitch players and coaches!

It's good to be back to Jedi Academy

This is the sequel to Jedi Academy. If you read the first book, you are already in familiar territory. However, Jeffrey Brown up is game on this sequel. Besides putting a smile on my face, his book captured my attention to the point I couldn't put it down once I was by the middle of it. Who could have thought that you could have intrigue in middle school even in the Star War universe?

In this book, Brown tells us what happen to Roan on his second year in the Jedi Academy. As in the first installment, this book is written in the fashion of a black and white comic book with interlaced pages from Roan's personal diary to give us an insight to Roan's mind and other notes such as letters and pages from the Padawan Observer to flesh out the Roan's world.

This kind of story works because even as it happens in the Star Wars Universe, because Brown makes Roan's troubles in Jedi Academy relatable. I was half way this book, having my chuckles and smiles, thinking that this is the kind of book you can easily put down. Then a twist happened, one that I could see building up for a few pages. Just a few more pages, I thought. No easy resolution in sight, even worst, things got complicated. Ok, maybe a few more. This book was supposed to be just fun and relaxing read, but I was so vested on Roan that I have to know what was going to happen at the end.

The good thing is that it is only 176 pages long, so I was able to finish it in a few hours. The bad thing is that it is only 176 pages long and I finished it in a few hours. So I could easily recommend this book for Star Wars fans and, frankly, for anyone who wants a chuckle with a good and simple story. On top of that, this is a book that you could easily pass to your little ones as they start to read. Another great introduction to comic books and Star Wars, with a great morale too.

Well, we received this right on time and my son has already devoured it. This series has captured his interest so much he's read it through in just over 2 weeks (which is uncanny for him). He's in 4th grade and loves them!

I think I enjoyed reading it more than she did

I bought this for my 7yo. She's a marginal Star Wars fan, but loves comic books. At first, she wasn't too impressed with it. I think I enjoyed reading it more than she did, but after a few months, she's taken to it. She enjoys the humor and has begun talking about the book with her friends. Maybe I should have waited until she was a year older to buy this for her, but it's a fun book all the same.

The same premise as Fifty Shades of Grey just a shorter version. Even Blake Hanson our male character has grey eyes. Alyson Lane is our female character and although she is not a virgin she has had a couple of dates in high school so she is not totally unaware yet she has never had an orgasm and she stumbles unto a Dom advertising for a new sub on the internet and mistakenly applies for the position. Our Dom, Blake is at a point in his life that he just going thorough women and meaningless sex for some unknown reason. Well we will have to find out in the next book. You could drop this here and be pretty much satisfied but no, to many questions are left unanswered. Very short read and yet still I am happy with this book.

About the Author
Martin Milner holds a Masters of Education from the University of Wales, Cardiff. He has held teaching and advising posts in Mexico, Namibia, Zanzibar, and Scotland. His work for the British Council sent him to Hungary and Thailand to set up English programs as well as advise the teachers in the program. He currently lives in Mexico where he works as a writer and editor. About the Author
Blythe Lucero has been coaching swimming for more than 25 years. She currently oversees two teams, Berkeley Aquatic Masters, and Berkeley Barracudas, where she brings her passion for swimming to the development and training of swimmers of all ages, from novice to world class. Blythe grew up in Berkeley, California, in a large athletic family. She swam competitively in her youth, achieving All-American status in college. In addition to coaching swimming, she trains Water Safety Instructors for the Red Cross. The three book series Coach Blythes Swim Workouts follows the successful book The 100 Best Swimming Drills, and Masters Swimming - A Manual.

This is a good book. It is divided in 4 basic parts, one for each stroke (butterfly, freestyle, breaststroke and backstroke). At each part there is an introduction which emphasizes the most important things to remember about the stroke. The exercises contained in each part are categorised in the following way:

Body position drills
Kick drills
Arm stroke drills
Recovery drills
Breathing drills
Leverage drills and
Coordination drills.

Each drill group aims to emphasize a basic principle. The classification mentioned above does not mean that the drills are isolated exercises of a bodypart. On the contrary, each drill evolves in steps in such a way as to embed it progressively to the stroke.

The figures and the description of the drills are quite clear and the part I like most is the DRILL FEEDBACK CHART, which is a table at the end of each drill which mentions problems you might encounter when applying the drill and what to do to resolve them.
I have been using it for a while and I have realised that little can be gained by reading it at once. It is better to focus on a few drills (even one for some time) and refer back to the book after or before your practice.

This is a terrific book for swimmers and coaches. The drills can fit just about any category of swimmer, from beginner to one looking to hone their swimming ability. Pictures, diagrams and well written text make for an easy format to understand and look up specific drills.

*I think the best thing is the section for corrections if you can't seem to get the drill right.

Writing from the age of ten, Leah alvord was raised with a love for the written word. After graduating from a Distance Learning program at the age of fifteen, writing became her sole purpose. Growing up in the wilds of beautiful Northern Michigan, she was never wanting for ideas and inspiration. Leah lives in the same small town where she began writing with her mother, brother, and six dogs.

This book will not disappoint you!

Leah Alvord is a very talented coming of age author whose debut book is one of the most amazing I have ever read. As far as Twi-hards are concerned this book (although it is not a vampire book) will suck you in the same way Stephenie Meyers writing did. While you are reading this book you will be able to feel what Miranda and Caden are going through, see what they see, and experience every aspect of their lives. It truly is incredible how Leah can paint such a vivid picture with mere words. Read this and I promise you will not be disappointed!

I had the privilege of reading this book before it was published, and I was immensely excited to find out that it had indeed been published. I loved the story from the moment I started reading it. I was reminded of how I was sucked into the Twilight series when I was reading it. The story was hard to tear myself away from, and I am so happy to know that other people who haven't had the chance to read it before now can purchase it and give it a gander for themselves.

The imagery and description used in this book are truly fantastic, and the reader will more than likely find him or herself fully immersed in the struggles of the primary characters, Miranda and Caden, along with their friends. There's not too much I can say without simply saying that you will have to read it for yourself to understand just how wonderfully written and extremely addictive this book is. Therefore, I'll simply say, read it. It is a fantastic one-of-a-kind story.
